Treviso (Italy), September 20, 2018. The adventure of SVC The Motorsport Group in the F3 Asian Championship with the new SVC Asia team starts again from China. The only Italian team in the new single-seater series certified by FIA Eastern will take part in the third round of the season from Friday, September 21 to Sunday 23 at the F1 grand prix circuit of Shanghai. Jeremy Wahome will be competing on the Tatuus T318 powered by a 1750cc Alfa Romeo turbocharged engine. The young Kenyan driver took a sixth place as the best result in the opening round of the championship at Sepang last July and then he missed the following second round at Ningbo. The weekend officially gets underway on Friday, September 21 with a single free practice session followed by two 15-minute qualifying sessions at 13:25 local time which will determine the grid for the round’s first and third races. On Saturday, September 22, Race 1 is set for 12:15, with the drivers’ fastest laps in the 25-minute sprint setting the grid for Race 2. Races 2 and 3 will take place on Sunday, September 23 at 10:15 and 15:55 local time. All three races will be live-steamed on the official website www.f3asia.com and facebook page @F3AsianChampionship.

Raimondo Amadio, head of SVC The Motorsport Group, says: “It will be our first time in Shanghai and second step of our new adventure. The main goal is to get the most experience as we can. It is really exiting and stimulating to be head of a technical organization that in the same weekend is competing both in Europe and Asia with big efforts of really qualified men. All of this is the result of a project that started long time ago and that now we need to continue to develop”.
