Cetilar Villorba Corse is ready to fight back in Belgium

Treviso (Italy), August 29, 2017. Cetilar Villorba Corse took part in the fourth round of the 2017 European Le Mans Series at the 4 Hours of Le Castellet but the Italian team is already looking ahead for the next event in Belgium at Spa since in France the squad led by Raimondo Amadio was in the top-10 but after suffering electrical issues on the Dallara P217 of Roberto Lacorte, Giorgio Sernagiotto and Andrea Belicchi. Moreover, at the beginning of the race a contact with another LMP2 prototype caused a drive through penalty that forced the Cetilar Villorba Corse crew to fight back. Their comeback was difficult because of some alternator issues and only a great job by the team made it possible to reach the final tenth position and so to score one championship point.

Team Principal Amadio says: “We definitively were expecting more from Le Castellet. After two very positive practice sessions and a good qualifying session on Saturday, during the race we constantly had to fight against electrical issues that affected our entire performance. Nevertheless the team was able to react very well in order to finish the race. Unfortunately, that was not enough to get a better result. It was a pity not to take advantage of this opportunity, because Le Castellet was the right place to do well, but we are already focused on the next round at Spa where we will try our best to get revenge.
