DG Sport Compétition and AEC Racing Team join forces

Both entities are simply unmissable on the international motorsport scene. DG Sport Compétition, based in Theux, has an impressive track record in rally, fielding Citroën C3 Rally2 at various levels. AEC Racing Team, based in Mouscron, is active in the sale of luxury and classic cars, and has accompanied Pierre-Louis Loubet’s progress in the World Rally Championship. It also leases Mazda RX-7 Group B cars for historic events, and is present in the Porsche Carrera Cup France with its founder Alexandre Leroy, as well as on the rally-raid scene with the Apache T3U (SSV) and in karting competitions.

This weekend, as part of Spa Rally 2023, the final round of the Belgian Rally Championship, DG Sport Compétition and AEC Racing Team are joining forces to field the Citroën C3 Rally2, which will be shared by Stéphane Lefebvre, former World and European Junior Champion and 2022 Belgian Rally Champion, and Michel Di Lullo.

“Through this partnership with Lefebvre at Spa, we want to highlight the common projects of DG Sport Compétition and AEC Racing Team,” says Laurent Dujacquier, coordinator of the Mouscron-based company. “In fact, with Alain Georges and Christian Jupsin’s structure, we have many projects underway, and one of the objectives is clearly to enter cars in WRC2 rounds in 2024. We’ll have a chance to talk more about that shortly. AEC Racing Team intends to promote motorsports, which will also involve circuit racing and rally-raid.

Within DG Sport Compétition, we can only welcome such a partnership. “The aim is clearly to bring together the strengths of our teams to develop a great story that builds on what we’ve already achieved,” says Alain Georges from DG Sport Compétition. “The expertise of our structure is well known and recognised, and beyond the Spa Rally 2023 with Stéphane Lefebvre and the Citroën C3 Rally2, we are going to collaborate with AEC Racing Team in its various competitive ventures.”

The first glimpse of the 2024 season will soon be revealed, and one thing is certain: we’ll be talking about the DG/AEC partnership again in the coming months
