Treviso (Italy), September 13, 2017. The GT4 European Series Northern Cup is all set for the season finale at Nurburgring. With the AM championships still wide open, two fascinating races on the 5148 km Grand Prix circuit are expected this weekend. Four drivers can still win the AM title. Among them Villorba Corse drivers Giuseppe Fascicolo, Romy Dall’Antonia and Manuela Gostner. The Italian team led by Raimondo Amadio will line up the #77 Maserati GranTurismo MC for the first two, who won last race held at Slovakiaring but still have to close a 15-point gap from championship leader, and the #93 car for Manuela Gostner, the first woman driver able to score a victory for the team at the Red Bull Ring this year and capable to win again in race 1 at Slovakiaring. At the moment she is fourth in the standings, 20 points from the lead.
In addition to AM title contenders, other two crews will represent Villorba Corse in the last round of the season: Paolo Meloni / Massimiliano Tresoldi in the Silver Cup category and Polish drivers Piotr and Antoni Chodzen in Pro-Am. A grand total of 38 cars has been entered for the showdown in Germany. Action starts on Friday with two free practice sessions; a busy Saturday will follow with two qualifying session and race-1 at 16:55hrs, while race-2 will be held on Sunday at 11:00hrs.
Team Principal Amadio says: “Nurburgring will be the final battle of a very long and intense championship and everything is still open. Going to Germany with the maximum concentration willing to do our best and catch important points trying to win the title. We are well aware that it is going to be very demanding, but we are confident that our crews and cars can keep up with the challenge and our international racing reputation”.
