HONDA RACING LOOKING TO CONTINUE WINNING WAYS AT THRUXTON

21 juli 2016

The fastest race of the MCE British Superbike Championship is calling as the series heads to Thruxton in Hampshire this weekend (22-24 July) for the sixth round of the championship.

Fresh from the success at Snetterton – where Jason O’Halloran took his debut BSB win aboard the Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade and Dan Linfoot followed with a double podium scoring two second-place finishes – spirits are high as the team hopes to follow the success and chase more podium finishes.

The result at Snetterton was the first time since 2010 that Honda has celebrated a 1-2 in a British Superbike race and has firmly put the team back in the mix in the top group. O’Halloran is now sitting third in the championship, while Linfoot is close behind in fourth.

The 3.791km circuit is suited to the Fireblade and last year saw Linfoot finish in second place, scoring the fastest lap of the race and starting race two in pole position. Team-mate Jenny Tinmouth will be looking for a positive round this weekend and enjoyed her time at the Hampshire circuit last year after posting her personal best lap time and finishing just outside the top-20
