Monza, 11 july 2021. Top-10 in qualifying, seventh place in the race and a strong comeback in Monza for TS Corse’s driver Pietro Peccenini, who took part in the third round of 2021 Le Mans Cup pairing young Irish teammate Cian Carey on the Duqeuine M30 D08 Nissan of the LMP3 class. Italian driver scored his season best in qualifying grabbing the fifth row on a grid with 26 LMP3s. In the two-hour race Peccenini made a strong comeback in the first stint and recovered up to fourth place when he left the wheel to Carey, who managed to keep a competitive pace despite a contact in the first chicane slightly damaged the setup of the car. Also thanks to an excellent strategy by TS Corse, Carey took seventh place, that represents the best result of the season for the team.

Peccenini said: “We all did a great job. The team is competitive and we have shown that we can reach important results. The setup of the car was perfect and without any unexpected events we could have fought for the podium. The home round in Monza is a turning point; we are now ready for the Road to Le Mans and we will get there with this good boost of confidence”.
