The twenty-three-year-old youngster has been blossoming since he debuted in the GT stage, in 2019, fighting for podiums since the very beginning. Last year he was crowned International GT Open Drivers Champion.

In 2021 Henrique Chaves will progress in his career and will drive the Pro-Am entered Lamborghini Huracan GT3 from Barwell Motorsport in the GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup and Sprint Cup.

As teammate the Portuguese driver will have Miguel Ramos, with whom he was partnered last season. The pair will be joined by Adrian Amstutz in the endurance events, except at Spa-Francorchamps 24 Hours weekend.

In the Belgian event the Portuguese pair will be joined by Leo Machitski.

Henrique Chaves is excited with this new chapter of his career. “It’s fantastic to be able to give this step and taking part in the most important GT championship in the world. I can hardly wait to get in the Lamborghini and go flat out in front of a strong opposition. I believe we will be very competitive, and I would like to thank to my sponsors and to everybody who made this project possible”, said the International GT Open Drivers Champion.

Henrique Chaves expects a tough competition during the season but believes he can fight for the top positions in the Pro-Am class. “It will be a demanding season, as the level is very high. However, I believe that I and Miguel, helped by our teammates and Barwell Motorsport, can be in the fight for the podium position, as the Lamborghini Huracan showed a strong pace. We will see, but one thing I can assure, we will give our best to be in the title hunt”, underlined the Portuguese youngster.
