AM class victory on race 1 for Villorba Corse at the Nurburgring

Treviso (Italy), July 2, 2018. Scuderia Villorba Corse is back from the Nurburgring with a crucial AM class victory clinched by Giuseppe Fascicolo and Romy Dall’Antonia on the #77 Maserati Gran Turismo MC. On Saturday Italian pair won their category (being fourth overall) on a very competitive race 1 of the third round of the GT4 Central European Cup, confirming their leadership in the standings, while teammates Piotr and Antoni Chodzen had to retire with an engine failure on the #50. Unfortunately, on Sunday’s race 2 Fascicolo/Dall’Antonia, without fault, were hit by another car and forced to pit to repair their Maserati in the best possible way. Italian team led by Raimondo Amadio did a great job and the crew was able to finish the race in the points again.

Team Principal Amadio says: “Overall this was a positive race weekend even if an unlucky contact with another car didn’t permit us to score full points. Our Maserati was competitive and both Fascicolo and Dall’Antonia had good races. The team was perfect to react and fix the car after what happened on race 2 so our drivers could finish it with another important result. Now we will have to work hard for the Slovakia Ring round where we have to score as more points as possible to stay ahead”.
