Carrera Cup Italia winner Alessio Rovera moves to Carrera Cup France

14 maart 2018

Varese (Italy), March 14, 2018. Alessio Rovera will race in the Porsche Carrera Cup France for a full 2018 campaign. After a superb 2017 season, when he clinched the Carrera Cup Italia title in the very last race of the one-make series at Monza, now the 22-year-old Italian driver aims to what would become a historic double win. Last year Rovera has already been one of the Carrera Cup France young stars for three rounds, specially during the race held at Le Mans before the 24 Hours, and, starting from the official test to be held at Magny-Cours on Tuesday, March 20, he will be behind the wheel of a brand new 911 GT3 Cup managed by Ukrainian squad Tsunami Racing Team.

Rovera says: “We are about to start a really demanding series but we can confirm some crucial aspects. We know the professionalism of Tsunami RT, with whom we shared the joy of the 2017 title, and also the Carrera Cup France itself, thanks to some excellent results. Staying ahead will not be an easy job but an increasing motivation allows us to be confident towards the first commitments on track. During the official test we will start to work hard on the new Porsche 911 GT3 Cup, which is even more powerful than last years’ model, a great opportunity that launches us towards a very important season that I am proud to share with all the people who support me and with all our sporting, technical and commercial partners”.
